Can we make a choice free from the cause and effect chain reactions of science? If not, then our fate is pre-determined and Free Will is yet another illusion which science has a history of disproving.
Quantum Physics has shown us that it’s incorrect to assume something will always cause something else and that objects exist before we observe them. This runs in stark conflict with our metaphysics and what science has traditionally taught. If it’s not the objects we observe, what is fundamental?
It's the lack of the existence of morality which is at the heart of the Subject-Object divisions problems. From the opposition of Religion and Science to the impotence of Human Rights - our current metaphysics lacks the ability for us to discuss morality in any real way.
But there's another metaphysics which puts these problems into a better perspective. It doesn’t replace what’s good about Subject-Object Metaphysics, but encapsulates it within a larger perspective. That perspective is one of Quality. That metaphysics is called the Metaphysics of Quality.
